As the year winds down and the holidays draw near, the Rotary Club of Ithaca invites members and friends to come together for a festive evening of camaraderie, cheer, and celebration. Our annual Holiday Gathering is a wonderful opportunity to unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and embrace the spirit of the season as a Rotary family.
We’ll meet on Wednesday, December 17 from 5–7 PM at The Strand, the inviting restaurant and bar inside the Canopy Hotel in Ithaca. With its cozy atmosphere and central location, The Strand offers the perfect backdrop for sharing laughter, conversations, and warm holiday moments with fellow Rotarians.
A Joyful Evening of Fellowship
This December event is all about celebrating togetherness. The holiday season can be busy and sometimes overwhelming, which makes carving out time to connect with our Rotary community even more meaningful. This gathering is our chance to pause, appreciate one another, and enjoy the friendships that make our club such a vibrant and welcoming place.

To make the night even more memorable, we’re adding a sprinkle of fun with a few lighthearted holiday activities. While we won’t spoil all the surprises, we can say this: Prizes may be awarded!
And what’s a holiday celebration without festive attire? We encourage everyone to wear a holiday-themed sweater—note that we didn’t say ugly sweater! Go classic, cozy, flashy, or fun. Whether it’s adorned with reindeer, snowflakes, twinkling lights, or musical buttons, your sweater will help set the tone for an evening filled with laughter and joy.

The holiday season naturally invites reflection on what we’ve accomplished, how we’ve grown, and the many ways we’ve worked together to serve our community and still reflects an essential part of Rotary: fellowship.
