The Rotary Club of Ithaca
announces that applications are now being accepted for its Community Grants program, which
is intended to promote the quality of life in Tompkins County. Our intention is
to fund several smaller grants in full. Small non-profit organizations are especially
encouraged to apply.
We invite your requests for needs
that are not funded by general funding sources, or for special projects.
Historically, grants have been awarded iu the $200 - $1,000 range.
1.
All
grant applicants and their beneficiaries must be within Tompkins County.
2.
Grants are to be expended within one year of
the date of the grant, without expectation of further support.
3.
Grants
are not normally made for operating budgets or endowments.
4.
Grant
requests will be reviewed for consideration each April. Selected recipients
will receive funding at a special luncheon award ceremony held each May.
5.
Proposals
must be submitted in writing on the organization's letterhead, and are limited to
two pages. The following information should be included:
a.
The
legal name of the organization, a description of its mission, the names of the governing
body/board and officers, a simple budget breakdown for the project/request, and
the name, address, email, and telephone number of the grant contact person.
b.
A
concise statement describing the grant requested and its significance to the community.
6.
Submissions
must be postmarked by April 14.
7.
Please
send us a brief note or email once you've implemented your project.
