They are Sherard Brown, Jewle Fisher, Kevin Lewisand Kaitlyn Taylor. It's a great group and we'll be inviting them to speakwith the Club about their experiences in early September.
Harvestâ?"Costs are up so we may not be able to do as much this year. It is hoped that deliveries will be made by Rotarians this year. It will take place in August.
Community Grantsâ?"Grants were given out last week. Lenore thanked the committee for their great work and especially thanked Joanne Lamoureux for her leadership of that committee.
Adopt-a-Highway: the Route 13 cleanup was on May 10th.
Pride of Ownershipâ?"There have been some questions about expanding it to the county as well as the city. Next year's committee will look into that.
Youth Soccer â?"Jeff will be chairing this committee and will look for a chairman for the youth soccer.
Share the Warmthâ?"Truck and staff may be provided by Ithaca College.
Changes will be made to the way the stuff is collected and sorted. More details to come.
Salvation Army Kettleâ?"Once again it will be at P&C and will be on a Friday and Saturday this year.
Other Business: The Ithaca Festival's request for volunteers was discussed and it was decided that it came too late for this year's participation by Rotary. Alan Cohen will follow up on it.
Since this was Lenore's last committee meeting, she thanked all of the subcommittee chairs for a job well done.
