Community Grants 2010

The Rotary Club of Ithaca announces that applications are now being
accepted for "Community Grants", which are intended to promote the
quality of life in our community.
We invite your applications in support of organizations in the community that have needs which are not funded by general funding sources, or for special projects. Historically, grants have been awarded within the range of $200 to $1,000.

1. All grant applicants must be within Tompkins County.
2. Grants are to be expended within one year of the date of the grant, without further expectation of support.
3. Grants are not normally made for operating budgets (exclusively) or endowments.
4. Grant requests will be reviewed for consideration in April, 2010. Recipients will receive the grants at a special luncheon award ceremony in May, 2010.
5. Proposals must be submitted in writing on the organization's letterhead, and are to be limited to two pages. The following information should be included:
a. The legal name of the organization, a description of its mission, the names of the governing body and officers, and the name, address and telephone number of the contact person.6. Deadline for submission is March 31, 2010
b. A concise statement describing the grant requested and its significanceto the community.
c. Describe efforts that have been made, or will be made to obtain funds from other sources.
