WELCOME & TRADITIONS

The Thought for the Day
Cal Walker included a Pro Tip with his Thought: having an eye exam, and dilating the pupils makes it hard to read the Thought for the Day. Nevertheless, Cal persisted, and read “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann. “Go placidly amid the noise and haste...” Read the full text of Desiderata online.

It was the first meeting of December and birthdays and Club anniversaries were announced, followed by singing led by Loralyn Light.

LAST WEEK’S PROGRAM

Gertrude Noden presented for the UNIFAT primary school in Uganda that is supported by the Club. The program provides essential digital literacy skills for quality education. The Ithaca Rotary Club has provided support for this program along with the District and Rotary International through a global grant. Several students and teachers shared their appreciation for the solar power array that gives them consistent electricity, as well as the ability to learn on computers, which gives them access to the world, and skills for technology workplaces.

THANK YOU ROTARIANS
