Linda Brisson was speaking for Linda Pasto. Linda is on an adventure with her granddaughter prior to the start of the new school year, but September 1 is a very important date for her, the date of her rebirth 16 years ago after life-saving surgery at Cayuga Medical Center. Linda P.’s mantra was, Enjoy each day for what it brings, and Make a difference every day. Guests —

Trina read September birthdays and Club anniversaries.
- Trina is part of a subcommittee that’s exploring other ways of having face-to-face interactions since we are stuck with virtual meetings again. We are looking at doing things outside such as meeting at Stewart Park for a walk or having coffee at the Farmer’s Market. She asked that during the breakout rooms, members try to come up with some suggestions. Please send the ideas you come up with at any other time to President Trina at catrinavanatta8@gmail.com. She’ll report back to us!

Dennis Gray introduced the “James Bond of Rotary,” a good friend and mentor, Dr. Ron Denman. Ron is founding chair for Rotary International’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Rotary Action Group (WASHrag). Dennis continued: Ron is the founder of WASHrag, founder of KPMG Management Consulting, a Rotarian for over 60 years and a member of the Toronto Eglinton Club, a “Who’s Who” of Rotary International, significant donor, primary influencer of Rotary and how WASH works around the world. If you’re ever in trouble internationally, call Dr. Ron! Ron’s presentation was “WASH in Health Care Facilities and COVID-19.”
