ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The 25th Annual Job Fair will be held on Wednesday 8/25. Jorge Cuevas was at the meeting to invite Rotarians to Volunteer again this year. Contact him at the Finger Lakes Independence Center. Volunteers are needed the event day from 9:00 to noon.
  • The 8th Rotary Road Rally has gotten a lot of registrations (walk-ins are welcome). The date is this coming Sunday, August 8, and the PRI castle building on Trumansburg Road is the meeting place and starting point. Thank you to all who donated giveaways. Kelly Buck is still happy to accept donations for prizes for participants.
  • August 6 is last day to submit a community grant application.
  • It’s the 15th year of Rotary Harvest! Heidi Goldstein will be sharing information about what Rotary Harvest is in the coming weeks. She is looking for special items to interest the kids.
  • George Ferrari of the Community Foundation gave an update on a cyber-attack at the Foundation. The attack was limited to one email account, and they determined whose information was exposed. If you didn’t receive a letter your information was not exposed. They have taken numerous steps to prevent this happening in the future. What data was exposed? Photo of checks, full credit card numbers, expiration dates, and codes on back of credit cards.
